Greenville, SC, United States, 2018/04/11 - Greenville, SC will celebrate strong job creation and capital investment at the GADC Annual Meeting on May 9. The event will feature a keynote by Michelin North America Chairman & President Scott Clark and presentations of the Chairman’s Award.

The Greenville Area Development Corporation (GADC), charged with promoting and enhancing quality of life in Greenville County, South Carolina by facilitating job growth and investment, will announce continuing strong job creation and capital investment for 2017-18 at its Annual Meeting on May 9, 2018.
The annual luncheon, open to current GADC Investors, designated guests and media invitees, will feature a keynote address by Michelin North America Chairman & President Scott Clark and presentations of the Chairman’s Award. The GADC Chairman’s Award is presented annually to an organization for significant impact on and contributions to the economic betterment and growth of Greenville County.
Also being recognized will be outgoing GADC board members, former Chairpersons of the organization, Greenville County Council members, and other officials from across the county and its municipalities. The luncheon is scheduled for 11:30 am. until 1 pm. at The Westin Poinsett in downtown Greenville.
Keynote speaker Scott Clark was appointed Chairman and President of Michelin North America in January 2018. He previously served as Executive Vice President of Michelin North America and Chief Operating Officer of Michelin Americas Small Tires from 2007 - 2017. Prior to that posting, Mr. Clark was Senior Vice President of Michelin in Asia where he led Michelin’s truck tire division.
