Avigilon Corporation (“Avigilon”), provider of trusted security solutions, today announced it has been selected by Arabian Centres Company (“Arabian Centres”) to strengthen security at its 19 retail properties in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
For over a decade Arabian Centres (arabiancentres.com) has been at the heart of Saudi Arabia’s retail growth, providing world-class shopping, dining and entertainment. To enhance safety and comply with changes to the region’s security and surveillance regulations, Arabian Centres installed a complete Avigilon security solution in each of its malls, which includes an average of 350 Avigilon HD Pro and Avigilon HD Dome cameras, Avigilon network video recorders and Avigilon Control Center (ACC) video management software. In the first phase of upgrades, Avigilon solutions were installed in twelve Arabian Centres malls, with upgrades to the remaining seven malls’ surveillance systems underway and plans to deploy Avigilon solutions at an additional nine malls over the next three years.
Arabian Centres has also realized operational efficiencies by installing Avigilon 5K (16 MP) HD Pro cameras in its parking areas. As the industry’s highest single-senor megapixel camera with self-learning analytics, the HD Pro camera provides wide coverage and detailed images using fewer cameras, allowing operators to quickly respond to potential security events. Combined with ACC’s advanced search capabilities, these cameras enable operators to conduct fast video searches and accurately identify a person or vehicle of interest.
