(“NFI Group”), the largest transit bus and motor coach manufacturer and parts distributor in North America, today announced that the Golden Empire Transit District (“GET bus”) has awarded New Flyer with a contract for 24 Xcelsior® compressed natural gas (CNG) forty-foot, heavy-duty transit buses.
The new order, which adds a total of 24 equivalent units to New Flyer’s backlog, supports aged fleet replacement and the GET bus focus on environmental sustainability.
