The key issues faced by traditional diaphragm manufacturers when handling highly viscous and semi-solid liquids include uneven fluid distribution, the settling of liquids at the bottom of the pump, and high wear and tear of the process equipment due to the pump’s parts coming in contact with the liquid. • Numerous options for pulsation dampening from air vessels with or without in-built piston compressors up to automatically adapting hose-diaphragm or diaphragm dampeners for wide pressure ranges, e.g. PULSATROL solution consisting of a hose-diaphragm pulsation dampener and a rolling diaphragm accumulator that are guarded from damage, regardless of system pressure. FELUWA pulsation dampeners are equipped with a nitrogen or gas filled air cushion adapting itself to operating conditions and thus helping to reduce the uniformity coefficient to less than 0.5 % p to p.
• Pump Condition Guard (PCG) an online diagnostic system which controls the operating data and thus reduces operating and maintenance costs.
• WebGuard, a sophisticated human-machine interface that fully integrates pump diagnostics into industrial control systems; a Web-based service option for it allows continuous monitoring of hose-diaphragms and checks valves, inlet and discharge pressure, flow rate, speed, pulsation, hydraulic oil temperature, lube oil flow, and pressure to improve process efficiency.
