Instant Object Recovery for Microsoft SQL Server. NAKIVO Backup & Replication v7.2 allows for instant restoration of individual MS SQL server objects, like tables and databases, directly from deduplicated and compressed VM backups. There is no need to preliminarily recover the entire Virtual Machine with SQL server. The objects can be restored directly to the source SQL server, a different SQL server, or exported to a custom location.
Transaction Log Truncation for Microsoft SQL Server. NAKIVO Backup & Replication v7.2 can automatically truncate (remove) transaction log files on the SQL server after successfully creating a VM backup/replica. The new feature helps protect MS SQL Server from crashes by freeing up the storage space on VMs. The backup/replica contains all transaction logs necessary to restore the SQL Server in case of any failure or data loss.
Support for ASUSTOR NAS. ASUSTOR manufactures premium quality, energy efficient NAS servers. The new NAKIVO Backup & Replication v7.2 can be installed on an ASUSTOR NAS, thus turning the server into a high-performance, reliable, and stable VM backup appliance for VMware, Hyper-V, and AWS EC2. The combination of NAKIVO software and ASUSTOR hardware creates a perfect VM backup appliance that frees up virtual infrastructure resources, boosts the VM backup and replication performance by up to 2X when compared to VM-based backup solutions, and delivers high levels of reliability and data protection.
Calendar Dashboard. NAKIVO Backup & Replication v7.2 adds yet another useful feature which allows for easy scheduling of backup jobs. The Calendar Dashboard displays current, past, and future jobs, along with their state and duration. The new dashboard makes it easy to find free time slots in the backup window and prevent the overlapping of backup jobs.
