Holly’s daughter Ally (16) takes a pre-college course, spending the summer on the farm studying ways they can become more financially and environmentally efficient.
One night, Ally is violently kidnapped from the farm. Holly immediately travels to San Salvador and with the help of an “unconventional” local, Fern (David Castro), she unearths a dark human trafficking ring, linking Central American victims to a U.S. market. While they race across Central America and Mexico via “The Train of Death”, they struggle to get her daughter back before she vanishes forever. Inspired by true events.
