Barracuda today announced the introduction of two new MSP Professional Services offerings to complement the MSP editions of the Barracuda NextGen Firewall and the Barracuda Backup Appliance. Now available, the new Managed Firewall and Managed Backup Appliance services expand on Barracuda’s award-winning technology solutions through 24/7/365 monitoring and management, enabling MSPs to offer security and data protection to customers, while freeing up and supplementing their MSP team.
The Managed Firewall service offering works in conjunction with Barracuda NextGen Firewall Intronis MSP Edition and offers 24/7/365 security event management, notification of any qualified threat and its remediation, and alerts about any communication disruptions from onsite equipment to the MSP Solutions monitoring system. With the new service, MSPs can offer next-generation firewall capabilities to their customers, including advanced threat protection, traffic optimization, and intrusion detection and prevention. Time spent on migration or configuration of the firewall or training technicians on how to manage the firewall is reduced, saving valuable time and resources.
The new Managed Backup Appliance service offering handles the configuration of backups for Barracuda Backup Intronis MSP Edition, based on the preferences of the MSP and its customers. It offers flexible backup for both on-premises and cloud deployments, faster recovery times, and image and file replication to a secondary appliance or to the Barracuda Cloud for offsite protection. As part of the new service, technicians monitor backups on a 24/7/365 basis, perform corrective action on failed backups, and notify the MSP of any communications disruptions from on-site equipment to the MSP Solutions monitoring system. Additionally, MSP Solutions technicians can run a full restore upon request.
As with the team’s other MSP services offerings, MSPs receive a monthly consolidated report they can use to help facilitate regular reviews with their customers and help illustrate the value of their services.
