• PROflex Reverse Osmosis (RO) Technology is Easily Adapted to Suit Most RO Application Needs;
• With a Broad Range of Options, PROflex is Configurable Using an Online Product Tool;
• PROflex Offers up to 30 Percent Capital Cost Savings Compared to PRO RO Systems
GE’s new PROflex* RO is flexible and robust and was redesigned to incorporate years of customer feedback to provide a cost-effective, easy-to-configure system that offers many frequently requested options.
The new PROflex is GE’s most flexible and price competitive RO system yet, offering up to a 30 percent capital cost savings compared to PRO RO systems. It is configurable using GE’s new online product configurator. It allows customers to select the exact flow rate required by the application from a range of PROflex ROs that fit the application. Additionally, the most frequently requested modifications over the past years are all available now as pre-priced options. GE has minimized the overall footprint to take up less space and moved key components to the front of the RO for more accessibility.
“Our customers told us we needed to be more competitively priced and flexible in our RO product offering. The new PROflex RO system provides those benefits and more,” said Kevin Cassidy, global leader, engineered systems GE’s Water & Process Technologies.
The new PROflex is quick to deliver and has key design features that make it easy to design a system for specific flow, flux and water requirements. Its many product improvements include:
• 10 base configurations using 18 to 72 eight-inch elements.
• Various pump sizes and several element types to choose.
• Three-bank and two-bank designs available.
• Footprint is smaller for many models.
• Pump is in front of skid for easy access and maintenance.
• Piping is clean and simple allowing for easy modifications, as needed.
• Many instrument and PLC options are available.
The PROflex RO system now is commercially available and is manufactured at Water & Process Technologies' Minnetonka, Minnesota, facility. The plant produces filters, spiral wound membrane elements and equipment across the spectrum of membranes including RO, nanofiltration, ultrafiltration and microfiltration for global water treatment and reuse.
