Thomas says,"Although my name and image have been used in the past in association with this company, I have cautioned them not to use my name or likeness in any if their promotion or dealings"

Thomas sent a short time last year doing appearances for the company trying out an association that did not work out to his satisfaction and has had no affiliation with The Original Soupman since before the beginning of 2017.

According to Thomas,"I have read the NY Post article on the arrest of the company executive for tax evasion which was entitled,'Soup Nazi exec arrested for tax evasion' so I want to get the word out I have nothing to do with them, nor did I ever have anything to do with their finances. I did a few appearances for them and it wasn't a good fit like I thought it might be. I wish The Soup Nazi title would not be used in association with this unfortunate incident as it represents one of histories finest TV shows and many good things in my life and in the lives of the others associated with Seinfeld that have given me so much joy."
