Dialogic, a cloud-optimized applications and infrastructure solutions provider for service providers, enterprises, and developers, and Telestax®, The Restcomm™ Company, today demonstrated their integrated Restcomm Video API solution during a joint session at Restconn® 2017. Based on Dialogic® PowerMedia® XMS media server software, the integrated video API simplifies the creation of video communications applications for developers across a range of industries and markets.
As featured during the Restconn 2017 event, the integrated Video API demonstration was shown to the community of Restcomm developers and executives. The live demonstration walked developers through the process of creating a multi-party conferencing application, including recording and playback of video sessions.
“As a result of months-long collaboration, application developers can now use the powerful Telestax Restcomm mark-up language or visual Call Flow Designer to initiate video playback, recording, and multi-party conferencing sessions,” said Jean Deruelle, Co-Founder and Chief Technology Officer, Telestax. “Powered by Dialogic PowerMedia XMS, the new Video API makes developing video applications very similar to voice applications, automatically managing video media processing.”
“We anticipate a wide range of new innovative applications will be adopting video, especially in customer care, Internet of Things (IoT), home automation, and education markets,” said Jim Machi, Senior Vice President of Product Management and Marketing. “By integrating PowerMedia XMS’s advanced video capabilities into Restcomm, applications will be much easier to develop and deliver to the market.”
A limited beta release of the Restcomm Video API is being made available to developers via tadhack.restcomm.com/. Interested developers should first sign-up for an account on accounts.restcomm.com/tadhackRegistration.jsp.
For those that missed the Restconn 2017 demonstration, Telestax and Dialogic will be hosting a live webinar on the subject on June 13th at 2:00 PM EDT. Details and registration for the webinar can be found at dlgc.co/VideoAPI
