The Civica Group, a market leader in business-critical software applications, digital solutions and outsourcing services, has established a stronger position in the social housing sector with the integration, re-naming and re-branding of the former Abritas business, following its acquisition in December 2016.
The move consolidates the Group’s market-leading portfolio of housing, repairs and asset management software under the Civica name and enhances the company’s ability to help social housing providers respond to a changing environment through more responsive and efficient services. Combining the specialist expertise of both companies, Civica (civica.co.uk) now supplies more than 400 customers in the sector, supporting services for five million tenants.
Following the acquisition of Abritas in December 2016, the company has benefited from operating within the enlarged Group. Alongside Civica’s broad product and service portfolio, the business will continue to develop the software applications produced by Abritas, used to provide social housing needs, options and lettings services for tenants.
The combined capability of the two businesses has continued to find favour with customers, with recent contract awards including a 10-year agreement to supply an integrated housing system for Leeds City Council to transform services for residents across 57,000 properties. The agreement includes Civica’s latest web-based housing management system, Cx, together with Abritas housing needs software.
Together with Abritas (abritas.co.uk), we have established a market-leading capability as one of the foremost partners for the social housing sector. Our integrated offerings are helping housing providers to deliver improved tenant services and greater efficiency and we are committed to helping housing teams respond to a changing landscape and evolving customer needs through modern technology and automation.
