Vertiv's strong R&D culture and extensive intellectual property combined give it a unique edge in the highly competitive cooling market. Its customer feedback-driven product development and innovation initiatives have helped it identify and resolve current and future industry pain points. Over the past 18 months, the company launched 10 cooling products specifically addressing technical performance (efficiency, energy savings, power capacity, and density) and ease of use. • Chilled Water (CW) systems: the Liebert PCW, a high-efficiency chilled water floor-mount range and Liebert HPC, its freecooling chillers, which maximise the freecooling operation all year round;
• Adiabatic Chilled Water systems: the Liebert AFC, a patented adiabatic freecooling chiller solution, guaranteeing 100 percent cooling availability;
• Evaporative Freecooling: the Liebert EFC includes the indirect air-to-air heat exchanger and evaporative cooling technologies in a single footprint.

Vertiv specifically addressed individual applications with its three new products: the Liebert FCM for shelter applications, Liebert DCL for rack cooling applications, and Liebert EFC 220 to further extend its indirect evaporative freecooling range."

For instance, the Liebert AFC adiabatic freecooling chiller is designed for data centres requiring high efficiency and 100 percent cooling availability even in unfavourable environments with fluctuating power supply, water shortage, and extreme external air temperatures. On the other hand, the Liebert EFC, which uses evaporative cooling technology, is aimed at data centres requiring high energy efficiency, while minimising operating costs.

Furthermore, this allows Vertiv to present cooling solutions at a variety of price points.
For its evaporative and adiabatic technologies, Vertiv concentrated on software, water usage, and diagnostic and preventive maintenance. Its design and software features thus increase cooling efficiency and simultaneously diminishing investment and operational costs of the water system. Finally, Vertiv LIFE™ Services provide remote diagnostic and preventive monitoring to analyse all relevant parameters, thus optimising unit performance, reducing on-site maintenance, and extending the life of the equipment.
