A new fine dining app called “for True Foodies only” lets foodie enthusiasts find great places to eat around the world based on top chefs’ recommendations. The app is the brainchild of husband and wife co-founders Cordon Bleu Chef Tadeusz Kolodziejczyk and former McDonald’s global marketing executive Joanne Carter and features Michelin-starred chefs, top sommeliers, a chef-recommended restaurant guide, an extensive wine database, and soon-to-be recipe purchasing directly from top chefs across the globe.
“We used to waste a lot of time researching where to eat out using guidebooks, searching online and getting recommendations from friends,” said Kolodziejczyk, known to his friends as Chef Ted. “We realized it would be great to be able to easily see where our favorite chefs love to eat all over the world, and find out the latest about the best chefs and restaurants all in one place.”
“We decided to build a trusted community with top chefs, sommeliers and true foodies at heart that truly places the culinary world right in your pocket,” added Carter. “Our app is perfect to find that great place to eat out, on business trips or when you’re planning vacation. Every restaurant and top Chef in the app is either nominated by for True Foodies only or by the participating chefs, and we have more than 200 chefs currently listed.”
The app gives foodies the ability to connect with chefs and culinary topics in a variety of ways:
• See favorite chefs top 10 restaurants and wines, articles, videos, posts and free content;
• See where top chefs eat when they travel and which restaurants they recommend;
• Purchase recipes directly from top chefs the way you buy music on i-Tunes or Spotify;
• Access seasonal “Bite Books” with five recipes from top chefs;
• Browse an extensive wine database and see what foods pair best with favorite wines;
• Learn culinary techniques in video tutorials from top chefs.
The “for True Foodies only” app is now available on the Apple App store in eight languages and in 155 countries around the world. An android version is planned for later this year.
