Lloyd’s Register Quality Assurance, Inc. (LRQA), a leading provider of professional assurance services, has expanded its food safety training courses to offer live online FDA-recognized FSMA Preventive Controls Qualified Individual for Human Food FSPCA training. The course provides a better understanding of the requirements of FDA Standards, Current Good Manufacturing Practices, FDA Compliance, Hazard Analysis and Risk-Based Preventive Controls that meet the needs of the FDA Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA). The FSMA Preventive Controls Qualified Individual for Human Food FSPCA Training helps ensure the safe manufacturing/processing, packing and holding of food products for human consumption in the United States and also applies to all non-exempt facilities exporting to the US.
This FSMA Preventive Controls Qualified Individual (PCQI) training course was developed by the Food Safety Preventive Controls Alliance (FSPCA) and is the standardized curriculum recognized by FDA. Successfully completing this course is one way to meet the FSMA employee training requirements for a PCQI.
This FSMA training course is designed with a curriculum which is intended as a FSMA PCQI training tool to assist companies in complying with the FDA Food Safety Modernization Act preventive controls regulations as part of the FSMA final rules. This FSMA Preventive Controls Qualified Individual Training course is offered live online via LRQA’s unique approach to Virtual Instructor Led Technology. This course is also available for public registration and for private, on-site delivery.

The course agenda includes training on Current Good Manufacturing Practices; biological, chemical, physical and economically motivated food safety hazards; development and resources for an effective food safety plan; hazard analysis and preventive controls determination (and controls); food allergen, sanitation, and supply-chain preventive controls; verification and validation and record-keeping procedures; recall plan; and extensive regulation overviews. LRQA food safety trainers have extensive industry and auditing experience, are IRCA- and/or Exemplar Global-certified auditors, and have successfully attended and completed the FDA-recognized FSPCA Preventive Controls for Human Food & Lead Instructor Training course.
LRQA’s FSPCA PCQI training course attendees will receive an FSPCA preventive controls for human food participant manual, and upon successful completion, attendees will receive an FDA-recognized FSPCA Preventive Controls Qualified Individual training course certificate.
