Infor, a leading provider of beautiful business applications specialized by industry and built for the cloud, today announced that gas pipeline operator Interconnector (UK) Limited (IUK) has chosen a suite of Infor applications as part of a strategy to meet the challenges of fundamental change in the gas market. Deployed in the cloud, Infor CloudSuite Industrial, Infor Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) and Infor Expense Management will help IUK to reduce costs and risk, and improve both efficiency and agility.
Following a thorough review of the market, Infor was chosen on the basis of its commitment to the cloud model and the integration between Infor EAM and other solutions with Infor CloudSuite Industrial. Key to the decision was IUK's ability to personalize and extend the Infor solutions as industry changes require updates to business processes, without having to customize the solutions.
IUK made a policy decision to move all operational and business data to the cloud not only on the basis of lower, more predictable costs but also to enable continual improvement and upgrades to the latest technology innovations from Infor.
