FTI Consulting, Inc. today announced that it has undergone a period of strategic hiring that included the additions of six professionals with energy, power and products industry experience to the Company’s Corporate Finance & Restructuring and Strategic Communications segments in Houston and Dallas.
The hires include Managing Director Jeffrey Spittel and Senior Directors James Blakeslee, Michael Bui, Paul Jordan, Calvin Lee and Kenneth Toudouze.
Mr. Spittel leads the firm’s U.S. energy investor relations and securities practice. He has nearly 20 years of capital markets experience across various disciplines, including equity research, equity and credit trading and macroeconomic commodity price forecasting. Before joining FTI Consulting, he led U.S. oilfield services equity research at Clarksons Platou Securities. He is based in Houston.
Mr. Blakeslee has more than 20 years of experience in digital and interactive design, communications and marketing. Joining FTI Consulting from Superior Energy Services, he has significant experience developing creative concepts and content for energy and natural resources companies. He is based in Houston.
Mr. Bui has more than 10 years of corporate recovery, corporate finance and financial advisory experience. He rejoins FTI Consulting after serving as Senior Manager of Project Controls and Business Management with KBR Inc.’s Saudi Arabian Joint Venture, which provided engineering services to the oil and gas and infrastructure industries. Mr. Bui is based in Houston.
Mr. Jordan has more than 30 years of diverse energy experience, including key roles in the issuance of more than $1 billion in debt, equity and structured finance proceeds; management oversight of more than $7 billion in existing financial transactions and direct involvement in executive management, evaluation and operations at both energy companies and financial institutions. Before joining FTI Consulting, Mr. Jordan founded NP3 LLC, where he simultaneously served as Chief Financial Officer of two energy companies and served as an industry expert for a large financial institution. Mr. Jordan is based in Houston.
Mr. Lee has more than 10 years of corporate finance and financial advisory experience in the energy and mining supply chain and physical commodity traded markets. Before joining FTI Consulting, he was responsible for mergers, acquisitions, divestitures and structured finance activity for Trafigura Group, a global physical petroleum and minerals commodity trader. Mr. Lee is based in Houston.
Mr. Toudouze has more than 30 years of experience in institutional capital markets, portfolio management, workout and turnaround consulting, performance improvement and electrical design. He has significant experience in resolving capital structure problems for companies and their constituencies. His experience includes energy, aerospace/airlines, defense-related companies, pharmaceutical manufacturing, logistics and insurance. Before joining FTI Consulting, Mr. Toudouze was President of Optimum Disposal, a Texas-based energy services provider. He is based in Dallas.
In addition to these six professionals, FTI Consulting recently announced that Rick Porter and Sidharth Malhotra joined its Houston office as Senior Managing Director and Managing Director, respectively. Mr. Porter, who is leading the Houston Energy practice within the Economic Consulting segment, has 40 years of experience in the oil and gas midstream sector, working with large interstate pipelines on transactions, business strategy and litigation. Mr. Malhotra who has more than 17 years of global energy value chain experience in developing business strategy and implementing performance improvement transformation initiatives joins the Performance Improvement practice.
