Starting with a small portable saw mill as the former instructor of the Wood Technology Program in Prince George, Joe Cvenkel created a market for high quality Douglas Fir throughout North America. The mill now operates on 25 acres in Prince George providing custom cutting for customers

Douglas Fir is one of the best products to be utilized in construction and is one of the strongest of all North American softwoods. We specialize in Northern Rocky Mountain Douglas Fir which is straight grained, tight growth rings, resilient and moderately hard. By allowing the product to air dry there is very little tendency to wrap, crack or bend and over time strengthens.

Our product is first growth trees that have a tighter ring growth than coastal Douglas Fir. With colder winters and long sunny summers, our products grow consistently over time as beautiful knot free wood.
