CEO & Chairman Jim Walker of Octagon Research Solutions, Inc., a pioneer and leader in the electronic transformation of clinical R&D in the life sciences industry, today announced the appointment of Jim Adamek as vice president of Commercial Software. In his new role, Mr. Adamek will provide strategy and leadership by building the software organization at Octagon while streamlining development, software support, and commercial software sales. Mr. Adamek will also oversee the entire ViewPoint® Implementation Services (VIS) department and report directly to Octagon’s President, Kirk Gallion.
Jim Adamek is a technology industry veteran with over 20 years of experience dealing with enterprise software, technology systems and implementation services. Most recently, Mr. Adamek was Executive Vice President, FullTilt Solutions, Inc., where he authored, designed and implemented enterprise-wide Product Information Management (PIM) implementation strategies and methodologies. Mr. Adamek also championed FullTilt’s infrastructure enhancements including the implementation of sales force automation, project accounting and time and expense applications. During his tenure at Deloitte Consulting, Mr. Adamek was responsible for global alliance with the Baan Company. He was responsible for the strategy, development and operations of the service line. Mr. Adamek facilitated and managed the sale and delivery of numerous large-scale global Baan Implementations and led the development of Deloitte’s implementation methodology and tools for practitioner support.
