SITS16 - Bomgar, a leader in secure access solutions, today announced that Bomgar Remote Support now supports seamless credential injection to remote systems, allowing support technicians to gain approved access to remote systems without ever viewing the login credentials or passwords. The first remote support solution to support credential injection, Bomgar is improving the way support and service organizations access and protect their systems. Credential injection is driven by integration with password vaults, such as Bomgar Vault, to give support teams the remote access they need without revealing plain text credentials and passwords, which are commonly phished.
When accessing remote desktops and systems, Bomgar Remote Support users can now simply select from a list of credentials that have privileges on the systems they’re approved to access. This eliminates the need to manually store and track credentials in spreadsheets or on sticky notes, significantly improving security and productivity. With credential injection, support teams no longer waste valuable time hunting for and typing in credentials, allowing them to immediately access and begin working on remote desktops and devices, improving time to resolution. In addition, by injecting credentials directly into the target system and masking passwords from users, they’re not at risk from key loggers or other tools that a bad actor may have installed on the user’s desktop to steal passwords.
