Pharmaceutical manufacturers searching for a packaging partner need to look no further: SCHOTT’s diverse and market-tested products include options for all types of drugs and pharmaceutical compounds. A number of SCHOTT’s pharmaceutical packaging offerings, including delamination controlled vials, adaptiQ® ready-to-use vials, and new closure systems for prefilled syringes, will be displayed at Interphex from April 26 to 28, at New York City’s Javits Center (booth #3621). SCHOTT will also be discussing industry hot topics such as glass delamination and aseptic manufacturing.
As part of Interphex’s Technical Education program, SCHOTT’s Dr. Bernhard Hladik will present research into the delamination risks of pharmaceutical products stored in glass vials. His program,“Qualifying Delamination Propensity of Tubular Glass Vials,” will take place on April 27 from 3:15 to 4:00 pm. on the 3D Innovation Stage in the Exhibit Hall.
“Delamination remains a high priority in the pharma industry, and we are looking forward to exchanging our know how with the industry”, said Christopher Cassidy, Vice President Sales and Marketing for SCHOTT’s pharma business in North America. “Another one are challenges in aseptic filling. Together with our partners from the Matrix Alliance, we will share insights on how utilizing new technology and best practices can optimize quality and prevent drug shortages.” The program will take place on April 27 from 3:30 to 4:30 pm.
New closure systems add a twist to prefilled syringes
For the first time, SCHOTT will be presenting syriQ® Rigid Cap (SRC) and SCHOTT TopPac® Rigid Cap (TRC) to an expert trade fair audience in the U.S. These new closure systems feature an intuitive twist-off mechanism. The caps ensure the integrity of the container, yet can easily be opened by healthcare professionals or patients, offering a seamless fit for SCHOTT’s prefilled glass and polymer syringes. Their design matches a closure system the industry is already familiar with. SCHOTT is also ready to support drug developers in product documentation and the regulatory approvals process, to get their product smoothly approved and in time to market.
