Jewelry maker and artist Lisa Bayer loves butterflies. This has always been obvious in her art and designs, but it wasn’t until recently that she was able to find a way to use butterflies in jewelry that would also help to preserve their existence in nature. The Blue Goddess Reborn line of jewelry and accessories features
butterflies that have died naturally on farms and preserves. Each of the pieces utilizes all or parts of the butterfly that has been encapsulated in high quality resin. “I was sitting in a field one day when a Monarch butterfly lighted on my arm,” says Bayer. “I’ve been in love ever since. This collection is my way of not only giving women something that will touch their inner goddess, but also does good things in the world. When we use butterflies that have been farmed, we create jobs that encourage conservation over deforestation.”
