Applied Voice & Speech Technologies, Inc. (AVST) has been selected to lead two breakout sessions next week at the ACUTA Annual Conference & Exhibition. AVST was chosen by ACUTA because of its deep industry knowledge and expertise in deploying Unified Communications (UC) solutions for higher education institutions worldwide. Today, more than 1,200 educational institutions rely on AVST solutions. This direct experience made AVST the ideal choice to share a case study of one higher education UC implementation and provide insight into the future of UC as many institutions move to the cloud.
The first session,"University of Washington: UC Deployment Success Story," will take place on April 25 from 11 am. to 12 pm. and be led by AVST CTO Tom Minifie. In the session, Minifie will discuss how the University of Washington successfully deployed AVST's CX-E platform to more than 18,000 faculty and staff across campus and off-site, including research facilities abroad.
The second session,"Make UC Soar: The Transformation to the Cloud," will be presented by AVST President & CEO Hardy Myers on April 25 from 1:15 to 2:15 pm. Myers will discuss how IT decision makers can seamlessly transition select UC components to the cloud while leveraging existing IT investments.
"We are happy to present these informative sessions at ACUTA," said Denny Michael, AVST Senior Vice President of Sales & Marketing. "We believe the content will help attendees ready their educational institutions for their digital future, whether it's deployed on-premise or in the cloud. The higher education market is very important to AVST, and we look forward to another successful ACUTA."
The 45th annual ACUTA conference (acuta.org) will take place at the Manchester Grand Hyatt San Diego from April 24 to 27. In addition to the two sessions, AVST will exhibit on the show floor in booth #201. Best UC practices will be shared, and AVST's new CX-E cloud deployment option will be spotlighted. This new cloud delivery model contains all the features, resiliency and interoperability that have defined the CX-E premise-based solution for more than 30 years.
For more than a decade, AVST has been a strong supporter of The Association for College & University Technology Advancement (ACUTA). The organization is an international non-profit educational association representing over 1,800 individuals at more than 500 colleges and universities, with members ranging from small schools and community colleges to the 50 largest U.S. institutions. ACUTA's core purpose is to support higher education in achieving optimal use of communications technologies. AVST is a corporate affiliate of ACUTA and has been acknowledged for its support of the organization's regional and national events.
