Eren, Ph.D., a member of the company’s data science and research team, has been selected to deliver an address at the Global Big Data Conference’s Big Data Bootcamp. The conference will be held April 8-10 in Austin, Texas, at the Austin Convention Center. Eren’s presentation, based on her patent-pending research, is scheduled for April 9 at 4:00 pm.
As data requirements and management capabilities grow, so does the size of the analytics and optimization models that harness big data. Pricing and revenue optimization requires continuous handling of large-scale, multi-dimensional data and models of unprecedented size. In her presentation Big Data, Big Analytics for Pricing and Revenue Optimization: A Use Case in the Car Rental Industry Eren will discuss modeling for big data optimization, highlighting pricing and distribution.

Ezgi Eren’s research focuses on big data optimization and analytics, and pricing and revenue management. She is a co-inventor of new-generation optimization solutions and models, with two pending patents based on her research. Eren holds a Ph.D. in industrial engineering from Texas A&M University, and a B.S. in industrial engineering from Bogazici (Bosphorus) University in Turkey. She was also a 2015 featured speaker at the Grace Hopper Celebration of Women in Computing Conference.
