ChemImage Sensor Systems (CISS) announced today that Director of Product Management, Charles W. Gardner, Ph.D. PMP, will give a technical presentation discussing the company's work on the detection of explosives and other threat materials using innovative hyperspectral imaging methods during the 2016 Pittsburgh Conference on Analytical Chemistry and Applied Spectroscopy (Pittcon) in Atlanta, Georgia.
Dr. Gardner's lecture entitled,"Novel Approaches to Standoff Hyperspectral Imaging Based Detection of Explosives and Other Threats" will be presented during the "Standoff Detection Methods for Security Applications" session on Wednesday, March 9, 2016 at 8:35am. His discussion will provide attendees with an overview of the project and the capabilities of the system's technology in the detection of improvised explosive devices through the use of portable hyperspectral imaging.
"It is a great opportunity for me to present the work we have completed to the spectroscopy community during Pittcon 2016 and have the opportunity for discussion and feedback on the project," said Gardner, who was also recently selected to be the President of Pittcon 2019.
