Forestry Suppliers, a leading distributor of equipment for outdoor professionals based in Mississippi, selected abas ERP as their ERP software solution for its flexibility with integrations, built-in features and user friendliness.
An essential reason for why Forestry chose abas ERP was for its ability to integrate multiple applications including Amazon, PayPal and eBay, said Steve Garrett, Web Master and IT Manager at Forestry. Forestry’s current software does not accommodate these integrations, and they’re looking at the change to abas ERP as a way to help them grow their international business, Garrett said.

As Forestry advances in the distribution industry and implements new technologies to boost their development, they have been seeking to upgrade their software to something that will support their ever-growing business. Forestry’s current software system is a green-screen type terminal system, and although it has been tweaked and modified over the years, according to Garrett, it hasn’t been able to keep up with new technologies.
“Our current system is limiting in terms of gaining access to data and viewing reports,” said Garrett. “With abas ERP, we’re hoping to improve these processes and eliminate the hassles we experience day to day.”
With abas ERP, Forestry will be able to optimize their business processes with functions such as CRM and its ability to easily track customers and prospects, view sales history, and allow users to customize their own fields. Garrett said abas ERP will also improve their daily processes by ensuring they avoid duplicate entries of customers and prospects and allowing them to easily look up records.
“With other ERP systems we looked at, we would hit simple road blocks,” said Garrett. “With abas ERP, they never had to say no, and that was a big deal for us.”
