“Novell is the only Linux distributor to have this level of global capability,” said Mike Lyons, vice president, Novell Global Support and Services. “Now, Novell grows even stronger with the addition of the Mumbai centre. The Service Capability & Performance (SCP) Standards provide the definitive standard for service excellence in the technology industry. The internationally recognized standards were created by a consortium of leading technology companies and Service Strategies Corp. Three distinct disciplines - support, field service, and professional services - provide the framework for measuring performance, implementing best practices, and leveraging a network of professionals actively engaged in enhancing the quality of their service and support operations. The SCP Standards require comprehensive on-site audits to confirm that companies meet the requirements of approximately 100 business elements defined in the program. Certified organizations must demonstrate their continued commitment to high performance standards through annual re-certification audits.
