Professionals.ie, an Irish privately owned online Jobs board for IT professionals, today officially launched the most up-to-date Irish technology jobs website offering computer & technology positions across Ireland.
Founder, Noel O’Dowd, established the site in October 2006 following his own experiences in IT recruitment. “It was evident from clients using various sites that there was a lot of information duplication, it was very time consuming to search through and a large number of irrelevant jobs were sent to recruits only marginally matching their specified criteria. This meant a lot of senior technology recruits were driven away from using recruitment websites.” O’Dowd continues, “Our site focuses on making the process more efficient. This ensures the jobs are more relevant, making it a lot quicker and easier for both employers and recruits to match quality jobs with the right IT professionals.”
Both recruits and employers simply log in online and upload their requirements. Recruits define their job search criteria (i.e. type of position required/key skills), search under location and define whether they require permanent or contract work. Employers simply type in a short, to the point 200 word job description and this remains on the site for 10 days. If the position is filled within this time, the job is taken off the site, and if it is not filled it is re-advertised for another ten days. Other sites refresh on a daily basis making it difficult to tell which are the new jobs and which are repeat entries.
