Ebony Over 30 states that they don't want to be called a "dating" website because they're much more than that. Ebony Over 30 will become an online, and offline community where African American Men, and African American Women plus black men, and black women throughout the diasporas can come together with respect, honesty, trust, and purpose.
Many "dating" websites just present you with photos, and captions. Some even ask you 20 or more questions, in attempt to allow people to get to know you. Our approach at Ebony Over 30 is to place you in an environment where the REAL you can come out.
Ebony Over 30 is designed to allow African American Men, and African American Women interact on many different levels. Our site has many different sections that will cause you to speak, debate, and question one another. We want you to show the person you are on many different levels.
We're adding talent shows, contest, multiple chat opportunities, and communication that's not your usual type. We want to go beyond just typing, and then waiting for a response. We were doing that in the 90's. Why not avail ourselves of the new technologies? Ebony Over 30 will use technology like no other "dating" site does.
Also what sets up apart from others are our "rules", and our "mission statement". You won't find them on many sites. One of our rules is no use of the "n" word, or the "b" word. We feel that we as African American Men, and African American Women, and black people throughout the diasporas should start addressing each other with respect. We don't want the games that are played on some sites. No nude photos, no avatars for your profile photo, and more.
We have our "mission statement" that you, again, won't find on most websites. The mission statement for Ebony Over 30 suggest that the goals of the site goes well beyond the internet.
