AuctionBytes, the number one source of news about the online-auction industry, has launched the AuctionBytes TV Network on the Internet. The network features several channels containing exclusive programming about ecommerce and the online auction industry.
The network debuted with the "AuctionBytes News in Review" program featuring reporter Ina Steiner. The news show is produced twice a month and features news culled from the popular AuctionBytes Newsflash newsletter.
"We launched it on Sunday and got over 1000 downloads." said David Steiner, President of Auctionbytes.com "The feedback from viewers has been overwhelmingly positive. Not surprisingly, people are telling us that they like to watch TV."
The debut edition of "AuctionBytes News in Review" features stories on the eBay acquisition of Skype and a new auction-bonding service for antiques dealers selling on the TIAS online mall, among other segments.
Current AuctionBytes TV channels include:
• News Channel - news about ecommerce and the online-auction industry
• Education Channel - programming to help viewers buy and sell online
• Ad Channel - paid programming including ads and infomercials
Within the next few weeks, additional channels will be added. These will include:
