Genie Networks, the leading provider of IP-flow network traffic analysis and DDoS protection, today announced that it has joined F5 Networks’ Technology Alliance Program (TAP). Through the interoperability of GenieATM and F5’s BIG-IP® products, mutual customers enjoy a more efficient and robust network management solution that delivers improved user experience and security.

The combination of GenieATM and BIG-IP products reduces risk for customers by increasing the accuracy and efficiency of the DDoS mitigation process. When detecting the onset of an attack, GenieATM (genie-networks.com) will redirect suspicious traffic to a BIG-IP scrubbing device, which evaluates the traffic, eliminates or mitigates the attack, and releases the “cleaned” traffic. The integration of GenieATM and BIG-IP functionality through the TAP partnership will help customers optimize their networks in areas such as security, performance and management.
