Leap Learning Solutions, a digital learning service provider and technology company, offering online English learning courses through their interactive portal, Englishleap.com, has extended its offering to the mobile platform to impart English learning via its EnglishLeap App available on the Android Google Play store. The App enables a user to improve his/her English in a fun and interactive manner, with the initial learning engagement across a range of vernacular languages in India. The focus is on grammar, reading and audio comprehension, vocabulary and pronunciations following the well-established European CEFR framework for language learning. It allows each user the flexibility of engaging the learning tools on-demand; anywhere, anytime.
Fluency in the English language is increasingly seen by millions of Indians as a way to seek economic empowerment and EnglishLeap works to meet that aspiration in full measure. Out of India’s total population of 1.2 billion, 350 million use English but merely 10 million are fluent in the English language. The EnglishLeap App serves the aspirational needs of these 350 million Indians that wish to improve their standards of English language communication. However meeting this need has been very difficult given the lack of quality English language education centers (absence of quality teachers and lack of any standardization in teaching methodologies); and at times geographic access and time constraints faced by the aspirants themselves. With the EnglishLeap mobile App, all users get to benefit from the internationally recognized CEFR language learning methodology, as well as the App bypasses the need for quality teachers in the more traditional classroom format, via this self-learning, interactive and intelligent technology-enabled engagement.
Each user has the ability to choose from a list of 10 vernacular Indian languages - Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Marathi, Gujarati, Malayalam, Bengali, Punjabi, Kannada, and Oriya - in order to build initial familiarity and comfort levels, before progressing to more advance modules, under the tier-learning structure within the App. The easy to use application also allows a user to participate and challenge friends or fellow App users, in real-time, in a quiz format within the App, thereby enabling them to learn as they play and play while they learn.
