Coperinc Desktop Search Version 5 has been created and released as a means to serve the increasing demand to search more documents, emails and files. The technology behind the search engine was completely overhauled to improve the initial indexation speed as well as the search speed. We ran benchmark tests against previous versions of Copernic Desktop Search and the new indexing engine prove to be up to 10 times faster. User downloading version 5 will be required to complete a full new indexation of their computer to benefit from the power of this new version.
In line with the Company’s strategy to communicate more efficiently with its CDS user base, a new message center is displayed inside the application to share indexing status updates, new promotions or software updates. This new version will also allow users to select multiple search results and act on them. In addition, CDS users can now customize even more the User interface by collapsing the refine criteria pane to optimize their screen usage.
