Two of the major, global designers and manufacturers of protective coating systems, Axalta Coating Systems and Hempel (USA) Inc., have decided to offer a fullcomplement of coating systems for the external and internal surfaces of natural gas transmission pipes for the North American market by combining their complementary pipecoating products in a offer package to customers in the Oil and Gas Pipe Market.
The agreement pairs Axalta’s strong position in the fusion-bonded-epoxy powder and abrasion-resistant overcoats for external pipe-coating with Hempel’s advanced and widely utilized, liquid, flow-efficiency epoxies for internal coating.
