The future of energy supply is the focus of attention at Power-Gen Europe trade fair and congress event 2015 in Amsterdam. From 9 - 11 June, 2015, some 12,000 experts will discuss the future trends and technologies. Together with Renewable Energy World Europe both trade fairs with their integrated conference provide a platform for the exchange of all aspects of power generation from fossil fuels or renewable resources. As experienced partners for the implementation of power plants and grids Lahmeyer International und Tractebel Engineering will jointly present their expanded range of services and recent projects in Hall 2 at Stand B3.
In December 2014, Tractebel Engineering acquired the Lahmeyer Group. Lahmeyer (lahmeyer.de) now is an independent business unit of Tractebel Engineering, and thus also part of the GDF SUEZ Group, recently renamed ENGIE. Lahmeyer and Tractebel Engineering rank among the largest international engineering companies providing consultancy services for public and private clients.
International Experience
In response to the increasing demand for energy it is more and more important to create a reliable, sustainable, and cost-effective power supply system. Tractebel Engineering and Lahmeyer International have many years of experience in the field of energy supply. With this well-founded know-how both engineering companies support investors and operators all over Europe and around the world.
At the exhibition stand in Amsterdam, the experts will present their innovative concepts, and report on their projects currently underway. These primarily involve, in particular, highly efficient coal-fired power plants as well as oil- and gas-fired power plants. Gas turbines, combined-cycle power plants, in condensation mode or as combined heat and power application with heat distribution systems are covered as well as diesel and gas engines. The associated companies also show their capability for renewable energy, for gas and LNG facilities, for power distribution, and innovations for energy transition. Numerous power plants, also in Asia, the Middle East, and Africa are currently being implemented with the support of Lahmeyer. In many cases, Lahmeyer acts as Owner’s Engineer. Especially in the power plant sector, a high level of expertise is needed when a new plant is constructed. In order to make such a demanding project a success, it must be ensured that the necessary quality standards and tight time schedules are adhered to despite constant high cost pressure.
