A United States Federal Court approved an agreement between David and Susan Semas and Dean and Madylon Meiling and their Metalast Surface Technology, LLC company, recently renamed Chemeon Surface Technology, LLC was approved on March 11th. The agreement requires the Meilings, or any entity in which they have an interest, or any affiliated or non-affiliated company to stop the use of the METALAST® trademark and name “in any fashion or manner whatsoever” on or before June 9th, 2015.

For twenty years, METALAST® International, Inc. (metalast.com) and David M. Semas as its Chairman/CEO and Manager for METALAST® International, LLC, provided the METALAST® trademark of environmentally friendly products to the metal finishing and coatings industries. The METALAST® brand of chemicals including the Qualified Products List certified METALAST® TCP-HF family of products as well as high performance specialty chemicals such as the METALAST® AA-200 anodizing additive have consistently produced impressive results for manufacturers and their supply chain metal finishers and coating applicators alike.
