The i-combat 3D product is the brain child of Jermaine Weekes, a keen fitness fanatic and inventor. Jermaine could see at his local health and fitness centre how difficult it was to have one to one training with a trainer to undergo a boxing workout, which some say is as much as having two usual gym sessions. However, discussing with various gym staff he soon realised how expensive it is to hire fitness trainers, especially fitness trainers that could undergo providing continuous boxing workouts to customers every 30 minutes. Hence the idea of the i-combat 3D was born. Jermaine spent many months thinking of how the i-combat 3D could be designed, and instructed a design consultancy to design the i-combat 3D. After several revisions, JWI invested in manufacturing a prototype of the i-combat 3D. The prototype has been able to show that the product does work, and can be further enhanced to improve the user experience.

i-combat 3D does not need to operate by a fitness trainer, or require supervision by a fitness trainer. Technically, one centre can have one trainer that is managing and assisting people to train on four or five i-combat 3D machines.

i-combat 3D is the name given to the first generation of what JW Innovation (jwinnovation.co.uk) have in store for the health and fitness industry. Essentially the apparatus that JWI wish to bring to market can be adapted for other forms of exercise and fitness requirements. The I-combat 3D is essentially replacing the one to one trainer, as the i-combat 3D displays a trainer that is displayed in 3D and provokes punches to the various positioned punching pads. i-combat 3D is the first real innovation in interactive exercising that will combine modern technology, digital streaming and human interaction and direction when exercising in front and with the apparatus. The i-combat 3D shall be designed and manufactured to facilitate boxing exercise. As previously mentioned, boxing exercising is not only for those who are training to be a boxer. Boxing exercising classes are attended by many people in health and fitness centers as boxing training is mentally and physically very exhausting, and hence very satisfying to the person willing to give it a try.
