Next week at the ACUTA Annual Conference & Exhibition, Applied Voice & Speech Technologies, Inc. (AVST), a leading provider of best-of-breed Unified Communications (UC) software, will spearhead a research-driven discussion on technology leaders impacting the higher education sector today. More than 1,100 educational institutions rely on AVST's UC solutions.
AVST President & CEO Hardy Myers along with longtime UC industry analyst Jay Lassman will conduct the ACUTA joint presentation,"Impactful UC Players in 2015," Monday, April 20, from 3:45 to 4:45 pm. (Eastern). The interactive discussion follows the recent release of Lassman's research paper,"Top Vendors Impacting the UC Landscape," in which he identifies the major UC vendors in the market today and why organizations including colleges and universities are embracing a multi-vendor approach. As a respected UC analyst, Lassman has more than 25 years of industry experience, including 14+ years with Gartner, Inc.
"Judiciously choosing products from multiple vendors enables organizations to benefit from an increased variety of capabilities that can deliver improved performance and a better UC experience for users," Lassman writes in his research report. "AVST's UC applications integrate with virtually any UC core platform from vendors such as Avaya, Alcatel-Lucent, BroadSoft, Cisco, Genband, Microsoft, NEC, Mitel, ShoreTel and Unify, while providing scalability and functionality that satisfy the requirements of small and mid-size organizations, Fortune 500 companies and top institutions."
AVST delivers best-of-breed UC applications including: unified messaging; speech recognition; Atom®, a context-aware personal assistant; mobile client for iPhone and Android; automated attendant; call processing; voicemail; TeamQ™, an informal call center; fax; notification and other business process capabilities.
The 44th annual ACUTA conference takes place at the Hyatt Regency Atlanta, April 19-22. In addition to presenting during the event, AVST will also be exhibiting on the show floor in booth #601.
