The Curry Rockefeller Group, LLC (CRG) and the Infectious Diseases Society of America (IDSA) have announced plans to publish an updated version of the Handbook of Outpatient Parenteral Antimicrobial Therapy: For Infectious Diseases, originally created and edited by the late Alan D. Tice, MD, FACP, and last published by CRG in 2007.
The updated handbook, eHandbook of Outpatient Parenteral Antimicrobial Therapy (OPAT), will initially be made available to more than 10,000 IDSA members in an electronic format for easy access and review. Readers will gain insight and guidance on how to effectively resource and implement OPAT programs. Scott J. Larson, CRG’s Chief Strategic Officer, commented,“CRG’s collaboration with IDSA to create a state-of-the-art eHandbook of OPAT has been extremely positive and is a good example of two organizations coming together to create a positive outcome for patients in need of OPAT.”
This interactive eHandbook features a host of experts on every aspect of OPAT. Topics explored include:
• Infections Amenable to OPAT;
• OPAT in Pediatrics;
• Reimbursement and Legal Issues;
• OPAT and Health Care Reform.
Sponsorship opportunities are still available, providing benefits such as company/brand recognition, acknowledgment at OPAT events during IDWeek, and continued visibility in annual updates over the course of the 2-year sponsorship.
