The ’Messier-Bugatti USA’ plant is located in Walton, Kentucky, near the Cincinnati airport.Activities include production and refurbishment of carbon brake disks, as well as production of wheels and brakes for civil and military customers in the Americas.The Messier-Bugatti USA plant has 200 employees.

The Spanish low-cost carrier Vueling has chosen Messier-Bugatti-Dowty (Safran) wheels and carbon brakes for its fleet of A320 twinjets.

The contract covers the support of wheels and brakes on Vueling's current Airbus single-aisle fleet in service (88 aircraft). It also includes 30 aircraft on order, as well as any upcoming A320ceo family order placed by the Spanish airline.

Messier-Bugatti-Dowty's carbon brake (safranmbd.com) has largely proven its performance and reliability over a number of years. Featuring much better oxidation resistance than the competition, it also provides significant weight savings, therefore contributing to a reduction in fuel consumption, allowing operators to reduce both costs and CO2 emissions.
