Houston, TX, United States, 2015/03/18 - LRQA has been accredited by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) as an ANSI/MSE 50028 Superior Energy Performance (SEP™) verification body and by ANSI-ASQ National Accreditation Board (ANAB) to ISO 50001 - LRQA.com.

SEP™ is a Department of Energy -administered certification program that provides guidance, tools, and protocols for facilities that want to achieve deeper, more sustained savings from ISO 50001 which provides public and private sector organizations with management strategies to increase energy efficiency, reduce costs and improve energy performance.
This accreditation allows LRQA to audit facilities, verify achievements and qualify those facilities for recognition at the Silver, Gold or Platinum level. As an independent third party, LRQA (lrqa.com) will use a transparent process for certifying sustained improvements in energy performance and management practices.
“Increased global concerns about energy and sustainability have prompted organizations to adopt an internationally recognized business process for continually improving energy performance such as ISO 50001. SEP™ goes further by providing significant potential for achieving greater energy efficiency by motivating management to identify and implement additional energy optimization opportunities while keeping their cost at a minimum. This accreditation demonstrates our capabilities and commitment to helping our clients ensure maximum energy performance while safeguarding the quality of their products, processes and services.” says Chris Koci, President of LRQA, Inc.
Facilities certified to SEP™, in addition to ISO 50001, have reported annual savings, reduction in energy costs, improvement in energy performance and payback within two years using no-cost or low-cost operational measures.
