Columbia, MD, United States, 2015/02/19 - Three Energetics publications won awards in this year’s technical communications competition held by the Society for Technical Communication (STC) Washington, DC Baltimore Chapter.

These awards honor printed and electronic communications that demonstrate superior writing, editing, organization, and design.
Energetics Incorporated’s communications specialists, print and web designers, and technical staff developed the winning publications in collaboration with clients at the U.S. Department of Energy and the U.S. Forest Service. These products help our clients reach key audiences to increase engagement and inform complex decision making.
Award of Excellence: U.S.-China Clean Energy Research Center: Recent Achievements. Judges praised this product for its “attractive layout and well-written content,” as well as its “interesting and informative” material. The report highlights key accomplishments of the U.S.-China Clean Energy Research Center (CERC) for the year and discusses future CERC goals.
Award of Merit: Cellulose Nanomaterials A Path Towards Commercialization Workshop Report. The workshop identified numerous commercial opportunities for cellulose nanomaterials to meet a wide range of end-use needs and to help address key policy agendas. The report summarizes the workshop results and presents the major conclusions to inform future planning and investments in the commercialization of cellulose nanomaterials. STC judges commended the document’s “great attitude, good style and conversational tone,” and noted that it features “very useful information for the audience.”
Award of Merit: The Wide Bandgap Semiconductors webpage, infographic, and fact sheet. Judges commented that “the writing throughout the documents is exemplary” and that the materials “excelled at describing the importance of the development and need for [Wide Band Gap] semiconductors.” This communications package examines the potential impacts of wide bandgap semiconductors on the energy economy as well as on clean energy technology.
