Based on its recent analysis of the lighting market, Frost & Sullivan recognizes Aura Light International AB with the 2015 European Frost & Sullivan Entrepreneurial Company of the Year Award. Aura Light’s tactical approach to address the gaps in the luminaires market with an extensive product line has strengthened its brand in the European market. Its products’ long life span and sustainability have enhanced customers’ purchase experience and helped it foster long-term relations with clients.
Aura Light differentiates itself from the other lighting companies by pursuing a modular approach to LED product development. This novel methodology shortens the product development time as well as aids the creation of non-integrated luminaires. Besides, it offers customers the freedom to replace the light source at the end of its lifetime, when there is a more efficient light source in the market, or reinstall the complete solution. All of these choices translate to higher cost efficiencies.
By November 2014, Aura Light had introduced at least 25 products to the luminaire family, 90 percent of which were light emitting diode (LED)-based. The modular model imparts greater flexibility and facilitates the use of light sources such as LED or fluorescent.
“Aura Light recommends only necessary additions to the existing components of a lighting solution. This not only reduces the time taken to market a customized solution, but also reduces the associated cost,” said Frost & Sullivan Research Analyst Balaji Anand Sagar. “Furthermore, the company supports its customers through every step of the lighting procurement process.”
The company’s in-house expertise enables it to mix and match luminaires with its own light sources, sensors and controls for a completely customized and sustainable lighting solution. Additionally, it employs a skilled, direct sales force with lighting expertise to work directly with customers to understand their business needs. Aura Light truly offers the most complete, customized, and sustainable lighting solution, therefore minimizing the complexities and the risks associated with multivendor solutions.
Demonstrably, Aura Light has sustainability at the core of its business strategy and operations. It aims to reduce the CO2 generated during the production and the transportation of its products, and the CO2 emissions that cannot be eradicated are offset through collaborations with ClimateCare. The same strategy is deployed at the customer end by installing newer, more efficient lighting technologies.
Importantly, Aura Light offers up to eight years guarantee on its products and solutions, quick return on investment, energy savings of up to 80 percent, and reduced maintenance costs. To reduce the burden of high capital investments in LED luminaires, Aura Light leased lighting has pre-financed lighting projects, leased out lighting solutions, and maximized energy savings.
“The long life span of its products and solutions has sustained customers’ confidence in its brand, resulting in strong client loyalty,” noted Anand Sagar. “Overall, the benefits of cost savings and environmental sustainability offered by its energy-efficient lighting solution, along with the minimal maintenance requirements, have made Aura Light worthy of the 2015 European Frost & Sullivan Entrepreneurial Company of the Year Award.”
Each year, Frost & Sullivan presents this award to the company that has demonstrated excellence in devising a strong growth strategy and robustly implementing it. The recipient has shown strength in terms of innovation in products and technologies, leadership in customer value as well as speed in response to market needs. In short, the award looks at the emerging market players in the industry and recognizes their best practices that are positioned for future growth excellence.
Frost & Sullivan Best Practices awards recognize companies in a variety of regional and global markets for demonstrating outstanding achievement and superior performance in areas such as leadership, technological innovation, customer service and strategic product development.
