5 Star SWD, LLC (5 Star) would like to announce that it has officially secured its second SWD facility location in the Eagle Ford Shale. 5 Star has already begun construction on the new facility which will be called, 5 Star Whitsett SWD. This new facility is located in the heart of the Eagle Ford Shale play right off of Interstate 37 in Three Rivers, Texas and is expected to be open for business in the first quarter of 2015. 5 Star Whitsett SWD is expected to be one of 5 Star’s larger SWD facilities with permitted injection capacity of 25,000 BOPD.
“We are extremely excited to have secured such a premier location in the Eagle Ford Shale for our second SWD Facility. This location is especially attractive to trucking companies due to its incredibly easy ingress and egress access from I37. Due to the size of the acreage block we secured, we were able to acquire a larger injection capacity permit from the Texas Railroad Commission. In turn, we expect 5 Star Whitsett SWD to be one of our larger and more profitable facilities,” stated Waylan Johnson, President of 5 Star.
Mr. Johnson further stated,“We feel very fortunate and proud to have covered so much ground in the SWD marketplace in just the short amount of time that 5 Star has been up and running. We are already receiving a very welcoming response from Eagle Ford area operators and industry partners and believe it is due to our team’s innate ability to select and acquire such quality locations. We look forward to continuing 5 Star’s expansion of SWD facilities throughout the Eagle Ford and Eaglebine plays.”
5 Star’s approach to the SWD space has been carefully calculated based on area specific logistics, geology and engineering. Additionally, its management team has been working directly with some of the major players to strategize locations which best suit their needs.
