Each hotel received a 5 star award, the highest category of award given at the event.

Meliá Hotels International won the highest level of recognition for the three hotels that entered the International Hotel Awards: ME Ibiza for best renovation, ME London for best hotel in London, and Meliá Villaitana for best golf resort.

The ME Ibiza is the result of a complete renovation of the former s’Argamassa hotel and has become a benchmark on the island thanks to its luxurious facilities. Alongside the sophisticated Nikki Beach, it offers guests the ultimate lifestyle experience.

The ME London (melia.com) is located in the original headquarters of the BBC and was designed by the world famous architects Foster & Partners. It has 157 rooms, including 16 suites and the luxurious ME Suite. Since its inauguration in 2013, it has received a constant stream of prizes and awards.

The Meliá Villaitana resort, formed by The Level at Meliá Villaitana and the Meliá Villaitana, has two 18 hole golf courses designed by the prestigious firm Nicklaus Design. Amongst its leisure facilities, the Meliá Villaitana offers guests 5,000 square metres of swimming pools, a spa, a gym and tennis and paddle tennis courts.

So far results have only been announced on a national level, but the three hotels will now go on to compete against hotels on a European and worldwide level based on the scores obtained.

The official International Hotel Awards 2014-2015 ceremony will be held on the 26th January 2015 at the Marriott Hotel in London. All the participants will be invited and it will also include a Business Day, followed by a gala dinner and awards ceremony.
