The NAMSR has announced it has created a charitable donation fund during the whole month of October. We are all aware that breast cancer is a deadly disease and has it millions across North America. It is the most common cancer among women worldwide, as well as the second leading cause of death for women. The chances are that you know someone with breast cancer because 1 in 8 women will be diagnosed with it in their lifetime.
October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, so the NAMSR (National Association of Medical Sales Representatives) has decided to do something special in support. The NAMSR has created a donation fund which will go directly to the American Cancer Society. We are matching donations up to $100 from all of our Medical Sales Rep members. The entire NAMSR membership will be notified of the promotion to help spread Breast Cancer Awareness as well as maximize donations.
Several medical companies also pledged to donate to the American Cancer Society.. "I am happy that we can help donate to this special cause," says Melvin Simmons - NAMSR,"Many of our medical sales rep members have been affected by this disease and we want to give back." The NAMSR goal is also to educate women about all the options available to them.
The American Cancer Society (ACS) is the largest, voluntary-based health organization in the United States. Thanks to the ACS and donators millions of women are surviving breast cancer today. There are also other events taking place throughout the month sponsored by the American Cancer Society to support the fight against breast cancer. For instance, several “Drive to Inspire” Pink Truck events will take place across the country. At this event there will be food, kid's activities, a donation ceremony, and of course the Pink Truck. The Truck is covered in pink graphics as well as signatures to show our support for the fight against breast cancer.
