Gallery Walk Metuchen 2014, is an Arts event sponsored by the Metuchen Arts Council to showcase works in six exhibition spaces including VAM Art Gallery.
Gallery Walk Metuchen 2014 will kick off at 12:00pm, Sunday, October 5, 2014 showcasing six exhibition spaces that make their home in the tiny Borough. The day, sponsored in part by the Metuchen Arts Council, is planned to appeal to many senses. The galleries can be visited in any order between 12noon and 5pm. All of the locations on this year’s Walk are within a very walkable distance.
According to the Gallery Directors who plan the event,“This is the second annual Gallery Walk Metuchen. We were amazed at how many visitors attended last year’s Walk and how very enthusiastically they embraced the event. What’s more, it seems to already have established itself in the culture of the town.” Each gallery has a very different vibe and different approach to what and how it presents art, making for diverse offerings to their visitors.
VAM Art, Inc., located within sight of the Metuchen Train Station at 15 Station Place, is just a short walk up Main Street from Borough Hall, and is the tour’s only commercial gallery. Specializing in contemporary and international art, VAM’s current exhibit,“Continuum 2014,” features nineteen paintings by five American artists: Kiyomi Baird, Michael Bond, Amy Glaser, David Heinlein, and Marie Kazalia. All of these original works are available for purchase.
