The Pune based startup, that was founded 11 months back, is already operational in 9 cities across India including Delhi, Bangalore, Mumbai, Chennai, Hyderabad, Pune, Goa, Kolkata and now in Ahmedabad.
The Ahmedabad section is launched with 300 venues ranging from individual banquet halls to 5 star hotels. “Our ground work is in full swing and we are on track to add 1500 venues by october end” said Sanaya Ranade, Head of Venue Relations at Megavenues.com.
Ahmedabad has a vast talent pool and that made it very smooth for Megavenues to expand operations faster in the city. The website is on track to launch operations in 8 more cities in India in the next few months and foray into international markets post January 2015, according to Rahul Rane, Co-Founder and CEO of Megavenues.com.
At present the website generates event leads worth Rs 4.5Cr/week for venue owners and this number is only growing as the footfall and traffic grows by more than 200% every month, added Rane.
