On July 24th through July 26th, The Florida Chapter of the American Society of Landscape Architects will host their 48th Annual Florida Chapter ASLA Conference + Expo. This year’s state-wide conference, Reeling in at the Reef, will be held at the historic Ocean Reef Club in Key Largo, Florida.
The educational course will demonstrate how technology, crowd-sourcing and capitalizing on the next generation of citizens is affecting the evolving role of the Landscape Architect. Conference attendees will learn techniques for engaging with their local community and see first hand examples of how tactical urbanism and social media are forever changing the physical landscapes of our cities.
Founded by Rebecca Bradley and Gage Couch in 2010, Cadence sets their practice apart by integrating tactical urbanism and social media into their business model. Though their projects span a broad geographical range, from the Bahamas to Louisiana, Bradley and Couch primarily created Cadence with the vision to positively affect their immediate surroundings, downtown Fort Lauderdale.
