Boston Standard Company, a plumbing, heating and cooling firm in Dorchester, has sponsored the Aussie Scrubland Exhibit in A Bird's World at the Franklin Park Zoo. Using the theme,"Every Drop Counts," the indoor exhibit showcases a variety of native Australian birds that occupy areas where water is naturally scarce.
"Supporting this exhibit allows us to remind visitors that while clean, safe water is plentiful in our part of the world, life can adapt to extremely challenging conditions, including water scarcity," says Joseph Wood, owner of Boston Standard Company. The Franklin Park Zoo is located at 1 Franklin Park Road in Boston. The exhibit is open to visitors from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM on weekdays and 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM on weekends through August, and maintains weekend hours through October. The Zoo features a variety of indoor and outdoor exhibits and participates actively in a number of conservation projects. As part of its sponsorship, Boston Standard Plumbing & Heating plans ticket giveaways to the exhibit.
