Shimco, a leader in manufacturing precision parts, laminated and edge bonded shims, tapers and spacers, announced today their participation at the AHS 70th Annual Forum and Technology Display to be held at the Palais des congrès de Montréal in Montreal, Quebec from May 20-22, 2014. Earlier this year, Peter Voss, President of Shimco received a personal invitation from Bell Helicopter to join AHS and exhibit at Forum 70.
The American Helicopter Society (AHS) International is the world’s oldest and largest technical society dedicated to enhancing the understanding of vertical flight technology. AHS International is a non-profit education and technical organization. Since it was founded in 1943 just as the first US helicopter was being put into service the Society has been the primary forum for interchange of information on vertical flight technology.
The AHS 70th Annual Forum and Technology Display is the world's leading international conference on vertical flight technology with leading vertical lift technology and aerospace corporations including Bell Helicopter Textron, Safran/ Messier-Dowty Inc., Pratt & Whitney Canada, Thales Avionics, Bombardier Aerospace, Esterlne CMC Electronics CAE and Héroux-Devtek. The three-day event will include more than 300 technical presentations on every discipline from Acoustics to Unmanned Systems. In booth #618 Shimco will display its unique polyimide-based shims, in addition to its extensive range of custom manufactured products of solid, laminated, edge bonded and tapered shims, laminated sheets and precision machined parts.
